Graphic Design and Brochure Printing – Regaldive
I drafted a Creative Brief outlining the strategic information needed to create a design concept. This included detailed profiles of the target customers, their needs and preferences. In addition information about the products and services the company delivered and the state of the current travel market. Plus Two Design won the project bid from a shortlist of three graphic design agencies. We began a very creative and productive partnership combining their knowledge of graphic design, photography, publishing layout, print buying and management with my strategic marketing, copywriting and picture editing skills.
Three months later 50,000 brochures landed on schedule within a tight budget and to great critical acclaim. The Sunday Times travel journalist David Wickers voted the brochure a winner in its “Battle of the Brochures”. Existing customers received an advance copy and over the next 12 months, the number of bookings increased from one in five to one in four brochures mailed. A direct mail postcard campaign targeting new customers resulted in an 18% response for brochure requests. This was well above target and extremely cost-effective.
Tony Baskeyfield, MD of Plus Two said, “This was a very exciting project to work on. We felt we had exactly the right skills and knowledge to make it work. However, the quality of our efforts is only ever as good as the brief we receive. Mary is an experienced marketer and she gave us an excellent brief with all the detail we needed to create a successful design. Working with Mary was great fun and the result very satisfying.”
Graham, Creative Designer on the project, also commented, “We saved loads of time (and trees!) because Mary worked side by side with us at the desktop. This really speeded up making alterations and deciding on creative ideas. Two heads really are better than one.”
